Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained.

Remove cover over filter dryer (5)

 Only remove cover above rear window.

Screw in manually operated shut-off valve (2) all the way

 The manually operated shut-off valve (2) is located under the protective nuts.
When the A/C mode is switched off, the electrical shutoff valve (1) takes over the function of the second manually operated shut-off valve.

Connect air conditioning evacuation and recycling unit to filling valve (3)

 Observe operator's manual for air conditioning system evacuation and recycling unit.

Empty closed-off circuit of filter dryer (5) through filling valve (3) using air conditioning system evacuation and recycling unit

 Installation: Evacuate closed-off circuit of filter dryer (5) through filling valve (3) using air conditioning system evacuation and recycling unit for at least 15 minutes then check for leak tightness.

Remove refrigerant line (6) from filter dryer (5)



Compressor oils (specification 362.0)

 Installation: Use new sealing rings. Coat sealing rings with compressor oil before installation.

Loosen and remove clamp (4)

 Warning

Risk of injury caused by damaged assemblies filled with refrigerant

Wear protective clothing, safety gloves and safety glasses.

Remove filter dryer (5)

 Installation: Check packaging of filter dryer (5) for damage. Dispose of filter dryer (5) if packaging is damaged.
The filter dryer (5) must be installed immediately after opening the packaging.
Observe flow direction of filter dryer (5).

Install in the reverse order

Check refrigerant level of air conditioning system


