Remove/install

1

Turn headlamp range controller's rotary knob (1) to "0" and then pull it off


Do not twist during removal/installation.
Otherwise the entire system will have to be replaced.

Remove headlamp range controller's panel (2)and the panel (3) on the lower left side of dashboard on the driver's side

Remove mounting plate (4)

Remove left front and right front headlamp units and remove headlamp adjuster units (5)

As the system is closed, do not damage or disconnect the hydraulic line of the headlamp range adjustment.
Otherwise the entire system will have to be replaced.

Remove wheel well liners on right and left

Detach hydraulic line (6) of the right headlamp adjuster unit (5) from the right fender and from the lower radiator crossmember

 Unscrew clamp (7) at right fender and unclip plastic clips (8) from lower radiator crossmember.

Remove hydraulic line (6) at left wheel well paneling

 Open cable tie.

Open grommet (9)

Remove headlamp range controller

 Pull hydraulic lines (6) and headlamp adjuster units (5) carefully through the cable grommet (10) in the wheel well paneling and through grommet (9) into the interior compartment.

Install in the reverse order

Check headlamp range adjustment for proper operation

Check and correct the adjustment of the headlamps


