1 | Remove catch from Vario roof | ||
2 | Remove right C-pillar paneling from Vario roof | ||
3 | Remove right side paneling in trunk | ||
4 | Remove cover above right B-pillar | ||
5 | Expose hydraulic lines no. 31 and no. 33 on Vario roof and in trunk up to soft top actuation hydraulic unit | Mark installation position of hydraulic lines and electrical leads tied to hydraulic lines: Installation: Observe markings of installation position. | |
6 | Remove retaining rings (2) and bolts (3) from lock panel (4) | ||
7 | Separate hydraulic lines no. 31 and no. 33 from soft top actuation hydraulic unit | When separating hold a rag around the hydraulic line connections to prevent hydraulic oil from running out.Immediately plug connections on the hydraulic lines and on the soft top actuation hydraulic unit with appropriate plug Pressure is still present in hydraulic lines when Vario roof has been moved with the roof switch and the ignition is not switched off | |

8 | Remove front catch hydraulic cylinder (1) with hydraulic lines from Vario roof | ||
9 | Install in the reverse order | ||
10 | Check oil level of soft top actuation hydraulic unit, correct |
