The vario roof must be opened and closed completely at least 3 times to bleed the hydraulic system, if the oil level of the vario roof is checked when working on the hydraulic system. | |||

2 | Remove crossmember cover (1) from vario roof crossmember until vario roof control hydraulic unit (A7/5) is accessible | ||
3 | Fold up insulating mat (2) and secure against folding down | ||
4 | Read oil level off of oil level marking (A) on oil reservoir of vario roof control hydraulic unit (A7/5) | The fluid level must be within the marking (A). | |

5 | Unhook vario roof control hydraulic unit (A7/5) from rubber mounts (3) and turn until filling screw (4) can be unscrewed so that hydraulic oil cannot flow out of the filler opening on the oil reservoir | ||
6 | Screw in filler screw (4) | ||
7 | Fill fluid reservoir of vario roof actuation hydraulic unit (A7/5) with filling syringe until fluid level is within marking (A) | Lay rag below vario roof control hydraulic unit (A7/5), to prevent soiling of adjacent components. | |
The filler opening must be closed for correctly checking the fluid level and the vario roof control hydraulic unit (A7/5) must be in the installation position. | |||
