Adjust front panoramic glass roof

Removing

 Danger!

Risk of injury caused by fingers being pinched or crushed when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, tailgates or sliding roof.

Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.

Remove left and right rubber bellows on front glass roof (6).

Position suitable flat material at outside below wind deflector (8).

 Material thickness from 0.3 to 0.8 mm. Use identical material thicknesses on left and right.

Fasten wind deflector (8) at side downward with adhesive tape

 This allows the front glass roof (6) to be aligned better

Loosen bolts (2, 3, 4) on left and right side of front glass roof (6).

Loosen bolts (5) on left and right outer support (13).

Lower front glass roof (6).

Adjust

Adjust front glass roof (6).

Tighten down bolts (2, 3) on left and right side of front glass roof (6).



Remove adhesive strip from wind deflector (8)

Remove flat material below wind deflector (8)

Open front glass roof (6) until release lever (10) lowers.

Tighten down bolt (4) on left and right side of front glass roof (6).



Close front glass roof (6) until slide shoes (11) on release lever (10) make contact with gate track (12) on cover carrier (9).

 The slide shoes (11) of release lever (10) should not reach into guide of gate track (12) in cover carrier (9).

Press outer support (13) upward at one side of front glass roof (6), simultaneously press front glass roof (6) downward and tighten down bolts (5).Repeat procedure on other side of front glass roof (6).

 Aid of helper required.

The front glass roof (6) should not have any play.



Checking

Check running-in of release lever (10) into guide on gate track (12) on cover carrier (9) by closing front glass roof (6) again.

 The slide shoes (11) of the hinge lever (10) should move into the gate track (12) without hitting.



Install

Install left and right rubber bellows on front glass roof (6).
