3 | Switch off ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS [EZS] control unit | On vehicles with Keyless Go, code 889: Press keyless go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off Remove transmitter key from vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (at least 2 m). | |

5 | Remove left interior CL switch(S85/5) or right interior CL switch (S85/6) from door lining (1) | Removal: Actuate both central locking buttons simultaneously and pull lug visible between central locking buttons. | |
6 | Unscrew bolt (4) | ||
7 | Pry off door lining (1) | Removal: First position mounting wedge at bottom of door lining (1) and then at side on door lining (1). | |
Removal: Position mounting wedge directly to clips (arrows) | |||
Installation: Check clips and replace if necessary | |||

8 | Remove door lining (1) upward from door | Removal: Carefully remove door lining (1) to prevent damage to ribbon cables. | |
Installation: Slide mount (7) onto bracket (8) from top | |||
9 | Remove Bowden cable (6) from inner door opener | ||
10 | Separate electrical connectors (5) | Treat ribbon cables carefully to prevent damage | |
11 | Remove door lining (1) | ||
12 | Install in the reverse order |
