Actuation of power window motors with shop-made emergency actuation wiring harness

Operation steps 3 to 9

 Use emergency operation feature only when it is not possible to close the rear side windows with STAR DIAGNOSIS.

Open trunk partition

Open service flap (1) in left and right luggage compartment lining

Disconnect left rear power window motor connector (X16/2) and connect emergency actuation wiring harness to left connector (3)



Connect emergency actuation wiring harness to battery

Completely roll up left rear side window with emergency actuation wiring harness

 The left rear power window motor does not switch off automatically. When the left rear side window is completely rolled up, release emergency actuation wiring harness switch. Otherwise the left rear power window motor can be damaged.

Disconnect emergency actuation wiring harness form left connector (3)

Disconnect right rear power window motor connector (X16/3) and connect emergency actuation wiring harness to right connector (3)



Completely roll up right rear side window with emergency actuation wiring harness

 The right rear power window motor does not switch off automatically. When the right rear side window is completely rolled up, release emergency actuation wiring harness switch. Otherwise the right rear power window motor can be damaged.

Disconnect emergency actuation wiring harness form right connector (3)

Connect left rear power window motor connector (X16/2) and right rear power window motor connector (X16/3)

Open service flap (1) in left and right side luggage compartment paneling

Close trunk partition

Disconnect emergency actuation wiring harness form battery
