When using previously installed windshield:
Cut off remaining glue on windshield down to a few tenths of a millimeter. Pull off loose glue (residues not completely cut off).
Repair damaged primer layer on windshield with Betaprime 5061 glass primer.
Allow primer to air-dry for at least 10 minutes.
When installing new windshield:
Check windshield for scratches and damage.
Then clean windshield with cleaning rag from cleaning set (Betaclean 3300) and wipe off with dry rag enclosed in cleaning set.
Then apply Betawipe 04604 activator to windshield and also wipe off with dry rag.
Finally shake Betaprime 5061 glass primer well and apply to gluing area of windshield (maximum width 20 mm).
Allow primer to air-dry for at least 10 minutes.
Replacement windshields are generally delivered with a viewing window on the left bottom. If the viewing window is not required always coat this area on the inside with Betaprime 5061 glass primer from the repair set before installing the windshield.
Allow primer to air-dry for at least 10 minutes.
