Prepare top door hinge mount for installation

 The following steps are shown on the left new component and must be performed analogously on the right side.

1 Grind mating surfaces on upper door hinge bracket (2) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.

2 Welding nuts on upper door hinge bracket (2) 
(area A).

3 Clean weld joints.

4 Recut thread on welding nuts with thread tap.

5 Cut upper repair panel (1.1) out of paneling and fit to vehicle.

6 Grind mating surfaces on upper repair panel (1.1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
