Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between the four pillars of the hoist and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Jack up vehicle

Position lifting platform pillar support plates on lifting platform support points specified by the automotive manufacturer so that skid plates on underfloor can be removed.

Remove pipes of fire extinguishing system (arrows) around skid plate longitudinal members.

Only on vehicles with fire extinguisher system.

Remove left and right front skid plates
(1, 2).

Remove skid plate fuel and brake lines (6).

Remove rear fire extinguisher system temperature sensor (B65/1) with bracket and fasten to underbody.

Only on vehicles with fire extinguisher system.

Do not disconnect electrical line from rear fire extinguisher system temperature sensor (B65/1), otherwise the fire extinguishing system may be activated.

Installation: Ensure that the electrical line to the rear fire extinguisher system temperature sensor (B65/1) is routed without tension and without pinching or chafing points to prevent damaging the fire extinguishing system.

Remove left and right rear skid plates (3, 4).

Installation: Ensure that the electrical line to the rear fire extinguisher system temperature sensor (B65/1) is not pinched to prevent damaging the fire extinguishing system.
