Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

Raise vehicle.

Disconnect electrical connector (1).

Remove temperature sensor (2) from gasoline particulate filter.

Note on calculation of tightening torque when using insertion or socket tools with various effective lengths

 Seal opening on gasoline particulate filter.

 Installation: Coat thread of nut for temperature sensor (2) with heat-resistant lubricating paste.

 Nut, temperature sensor to gasoline particulate filter

Remove electrical wiring harness (3).

 Installation: Check retaining clamp.

Depending on the findings,



replace retaining clamp.

Remove temperature sensor (2) with control unit (4).

 To do this, unscrew nuts (5). The temperature sensor (2) and control unit (4) form a unit.

Install in the reverse order.



 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
