AdBlue® heater coolant solenoid valve

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Switch off ignition.

Carefully screw open cap on coolant expansion reservoir, relieve overpressure, and tighten cap again.

 See information from body manufacturer.

Disconnect electrical connector (2) from AdBlue® heating coolant solenoid valve (6).

 Installation: Replace removed cable ties.

Clamp off coolant hose (1) with clamp.

Remove coolant hose (1) from the coolant inlet (3) of the AdBlue® heater coolant solenoid valve (6).

 Collect escaping coolant using suitable vessel.

 Installation: Press in retainer before attaching the coolant hose (1) into the connector coupling.

Clamp off coolant hose (5) with clamping device.

Remove coolant hose (5) from the coolant outlet (4) of the AdBlue® heater coolant solenoid valve (6).

 Installation: Press in retainer before attaching the coolant hose (5) into the connector coupling.

Remove AdBlue® heating coolant solenoid valve (6).

 SCR fuel tank heater solenoid valve to holder

Install in the reverse order



Check

Start engine.

 See information from body manufacturer.

Check engine cooling system in the area of the AdBlue® heating coolant solenoid valve (6) for leak tightness.

 Visual inspection.

Switch off engine.

Check coolant level and correct if necessary.


