| Remove | ||
1 | Remove mounting rails (2). | Only if required. | |
2 | Remove maintenance flap (1). | The quick-release couplings (4) remain under tension. | |
3 | Drill out spot welds and disconnect the quick-release fasteners (4) from the maintenance flap (1) using a hammer and chisel. | ||
4 | Grind off seat (5) of quick-release couplings (4). | ||
| Install | ||
5 | Position maintenance flap (1) onto exhaust aftertreatment unit. | ||
6.1 | Insert tensioning straps (6) together with holding device (7) into shackles (8). | For installation with holding device (7). | |
The holding device (7) also acts as an adjusting gauge for the spring tensioning force. It is part of the scope of supply of the tensioning straps (6) and is already attached. | |||
6.2 | Install tensioning straps (6). | For installation without holding device (7). | |
Turn screw (6.1) until the dimension (A) between the bolts (6.2) is achieved. | |||
7 | Screw in screw/bolts (6.1) until the holding device (7) can be picked up by the pins (6.2). | Only for installation with holding device (7). | |
8 | Install mounting rails (2). | Screw, maintenance flap to exhaust gas aftertreatment unit (exhaust gas aftertreatment unit with a diesel particulate filter) |
