Remove/Install

 Danger!

Risk of death cased by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Risk of injury to skin and eyes from handling hot or glowing objects.

Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns when working in engine during starting procedure

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.

Remove catalytic converter

Remove collar clamp (1)

 Installation: Check hose clamp (1), replace if necessary.

 Bolt of pre-catalytic converter clamp to angular pipe

Unscrew bolt (2).

 Bolt of pre-catalytic convertor to bracket

Remove primary catalytic converter (3)

Install in the reverse order



Check

Inspect installation position and clearance of exhaust system

 The exhaust system must be mounted free of tension, align exhaust system if necessary.

Check exhaust system for leaks when engine is running
