Lethal injuries are possible if vehicle slips off of lifting platform

Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove trim panels of cylinder head cover

Remove air cleaner

Remove screw clamp (32) of turbocharger (110) to primary catalytic converter (120/1)

 Installation: Replace sealing cone (33), in order to preclude leakage.

Detach lower engine compartment paneling

Remove screw clamp (32) at three way catalytic converter

Unbolt pre-catalytic converter (120/1) at crankcase



Unscrew bracket (13) for three way catalytic converter at tapping plate of exhaust pipe

 Installation: Replace self-locking nut (3).



Take out primary catalytic converter (120/1) toward bottom

 Installation: Install three way catalytic converter free of tension.


