Remove/install

Remove bottom section of sound-proofing capsule

Release spring connection between primary catalytic converter (120/1) and front pipe (111).

 Remove combustion residues at connecting points.

 Removal: Use pipe wrench pliers to press together disk springs (a, b) and pry off metal tongue with screwdriver.

 Installation: Use pipe wrench pliers to press together disk springs (a, b) until the metal tongue latches.

Unscrew bolt (1) at bracket

Remove air cleaner

Unscrew clamp between primary catalytic converter (120/1) and exhaust gas turbocharger (110)

 Installation: First of all fit on clamp loosely, fasten primary catalytic converter (120/1) at bracket, afterwards tighten clamp.



Remove primary catalytic converter (120/1) upwards.

 Installation: Install three way catalytic converter free of tension.


