Removing/installing

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Raise vehicle.

Remove bottom section of soundproofing capsule

Dismount connecting clamps (1) between three way catalytic converters (2, 3) and turbocharger (4)

 Installation: Clean connecting points with emery cloth from combustion and corrosion residues.



Pry off clamps (5)

 Installation: Clean connecting points with emery cloth from combustion and corrosion residues.

Dismount left three way catalytic converter (3) at bracket (6)



Take out three way catalytic converters (2, 3)



Install in reverse order

 Danger!

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near engine

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.
