1 | Disconnect ground line on battery. | See information from body manufacturer. | |
2 | Remove clamps (2, 4). | ||
3 | Release exhaust flex pipe (1) from exhaust pipe (3). | ||
4 | Pull exhaust flex pipe (1) out of exhaust pipe (5). | ||
5 | Remove sealing ring (8) from exhaust pipe (3). | ||
6 | Remove clamping disk (6) with sealing ring (7) from the exhaust flex pipe (1). | ||
7 | Check exhaust flex pipe (1) for damage. | | |
Lamellae at outside of new flexible exhaust pipe (1) must in particular be checked. | |||
If the lamellae on the outside are damaged, | |||

Replace flexible exhaust pipe (1). | |||

8 | Install new sealing ring (8) on exhaust pipe (3). | ||
9 | Push new clamping disk (6) with new sealing ring (7) onto the exhaust flex pipe (1). | Observe installation sequence. | |
10 | Push exhaust flex pipe (1) all the way into the exhaust pipe (5). | ||
11 | Place exhaust flex pipe (1) on exhaust pipe (3) while pulling the exhaust flex pipe (1) out of exhaust pipe (5) and lay on the new clamps (2, 4). | Markings (A) at flexible exhaust pipe (1) and exhaust pipe (3) must match. The clamp (2) has a folded edge; this must point in the direction of the engine. Opening of clamp (2) must be positioned via markings (A). | |
12 | Align exhaust flex pipe (1) and tighten clamps (2, 4). | Bolt, exhaust flex pipe clamp to exhaust pipe | |
13 | Connect ground line to battery. | See information from body manufacturer. | |
14 | Start engine and check exhaust system for leak tightness. | See information from body manufacturer. | |
15 | Switch off engine. |
