1 | Open the engine compartment | The access to perform maintenance and repair works varies according to the manufacturer and the body type. | |
2 | Disconnect battery ground cable | ||
3 | Remove the acoustic encapsulations | ||
4 | Remove the clamps (1 and 2) | ||
5 | Release the exhaust gas flexible pipe (3) from the exhaust gas pipe (4) | ||
6 | Pull the exhaust gas flexible pipe (3) out the exhaust gas pipe (5) | ||
7 | Remove the conical spring washer (6) with the sealing ring (7) from the exhaust gas flexible pipe (3) | ||
| Install | ||
8 | Check the exhaust gas flexible pipe (3) for damages | | |
The folds on the outside of the new exhaust gas flexible pipe (3) must be especially verified. | |||
In case of damage: | |||

Replace the exhaust gas flexible pipe (3). | |||
9 | Clean the sealing surface of exhaust gas tubes (4 and 5) and of the exhaust gas flexible pipe (3) | ||
10 | Place the exhaust gas flexible tube (3) on the exhaust gas tube (5) and on the exhaust gas tube (4) with new clamps (1 and 2) | Use a new conical spring washer (6) and a new sealing ring (7). | |
11 | Align the exhaust gas flexible tube (3) and tighten the clamps (1 and 2) | Screw of the clamp of the flexible exhaust pipe in the exhaust gas after-treatment system | |

13 | Connect ground cable to battery | ||
