Remove/install

Clean the engine in the area of the fuel high-pressure pump (4) and fuel filter module (1).

Drain the fuel at the fuel filter module (1).

Collect escaping fuel.

Disconnect electrical connection (2).

Remove the fuel temperature sensor (B602).

Installation: Replace sealing ring.

Install in the reverse order

Fill fuel low-pressure circuit on engine.

Start engine and perform an engine test run.

Allow engine to run at a higher rotational speed.
See information from body manufacturer.

If engine fails to start or only runs for a brief period,

Fill low-pressure fuel circuit once more.

Shut off the engine and check the area around the fuel high-pressure pump (4) and fuel filter module (1) for leakage.

Visual inspection.
