1 | Turnoff the ignition key | ||
2 | Disconnect the electric wiring harness (1) | ||
3 | Unscrew the bolts (3) and remove the fuel pump (5). | At fuel pump removal, avoid causing rough shocks in order not to damage it. | |
4 | Remove the adapter sleeve (7) | To remove the adapter sleeve, make use of the special "Parker" pliers. | |
5 | Remove the pre-filter (9) from the fuel pump body (4) | ||
| CLEAN | ||
6 | Clean the fuel pump body (4) | ||
7 | Clean the pre-filter (9) | Clean using compressed air jets. Should there be detected incrustation, sludge and/or clogging, the pre-filter has to be replaced. | |
| Installing | ||
8 | Install the pre-filter (9) in the fuel pump body (4) | ||
9 | Install the adapter sleeve (7) | ||
10 | Install the fuel pump (5) and tighten the bolts (3) | ||

11 | Connect the electric wiring harness (1) | ||
12 | Start the vehicle and check the system for tightness |
