Pushing off
1 Unscrew self-locking nut from tie rod ball joint (1).
If necessary, counterhold ball stud with Allen wrench.
2 Pry tie rod ball joint (1) off steering knuckle using arm-type puller
3 Remove arm-type puller (3).
Check rubber boot (2) and tie rod ball joint (1) for damage, replace if necessary.
Installation
4 Clean tapered connection.
5 Replace self-locking nut and tighten.
