Danger! | Danger of injury to eyes from steering oil emerging at high pressure. Danger of poisoning from swallowing steering oil | Unscrew end limit screws maximum 5 turns. Wear safety glasses. | |
1 | Open engine compartment flap | See Operating Instructions | |
2 | Clean the line (1) in the area of the threaded connections (4) thoroughly | During all work on the power steering system ensure that no dirt gets into the steering system in order to avoid malfunctions. | |
3 | Unscrew threaded connections (4) of the line (1) | Collect the steering gear oil which runs out in a suitable vessel. Do not pour in again steering gear oil which has been drained. | |
4 | Open left rear service flap | See Operating Instructions | |
5 | Detach bracket (2) from vehicle complete with line (1) | ||
6 | Remove bracket (2) complete with line (1) | When removing the bracket (2) is to be removed complete with line (1) carefully to one side. The line (1) must be pulled through the rubber grommets (6). The rubber grommets (6) are to be removed if necessary. | |
7 | Remove nuts (3). | ||
8 | Detach line (1) from bracket (2) | ||
9 | Install in the reverse order | ||
10 | Fill power steering pump and bleed |
