Warning

Risk of injury caused by touching hot retarder and by scalding from hot retarderoil. Risk of injury to skin or eyes caused by retarder oil escaping under high pressure

Do not carry out any work unless retarder is switched off. Wear suitable protective clothing and safety glasses when working on the hot retarder.

Remove

Remove retaining ring (1)

Observe the assembly position of the retaining ring (1).

Remove silencer disk (2)

Remove sinous spring (3)

Clean

Clean silencer disk (2) with benzine and then blow out with compressed air

Pure benzine/benzine 100/140 (free of aromatic compounds)

Install

Install sinous spring (3)

Install silencer disk (2)

Install retaining ring (1)

Observe the assembly position of the retaining ring (1).
The concave side of the retaining ring (1) must face in the direction of the silencer disk (2).
