1 Assemble screwed cap (1) without sealing ring on the retarder housing and tighten it.
Screwed cap (1) retaining ring (2) should lock on the groove in the internal side of the valve body (3).
2 Remove screwed cap (1) together with valve body (3) outside the retarder housing.
Only when valve body (3) does not get out with screwed cap (1) from the retarder housing, valve body (3) should be replaced with an extractor. At the fixed body vehicles, remove the retarder first and only after that, use extractor to remove the two-way valve from the retarder housing.

3 Remove valve body (3) with extractor (5) and counter support (4).
The extractor (5) needs to lock on the groove in the internal side of the valve body (3).
