Remove the safety ring (1)

Risk of injury when touching the hot retarder and burnings caused by hot oil in the retarder. Risk of skin or eye injury caused by high-pressure spills of the retarder's oil
Only carry out the work when retarder is off. Use protection clothes, gloves, and goggles if you need to repair a hot retarder.

Installation: the concave side of the retaining ring (1) should face the silencer disc (2).

Remove the silencer disk (2)

Installation: clean the silencer disc (2) with a suitable cleaning fluid and dry with compressed air.
