Remove/Install

Open engine hood and raise to vertical position

Close engine hood only after checking for leaks.

Remove throttle valve actuator with top charge air pipes

Disconnect vacuum line (1) from vacuum pump (2)

Compress detents (3) and pull off vacuum line (1).

Unscrew bolts attaching vacuum pump (2)

Pull off vacuum pump (2) to the front

Installation: Note position of driver on rear side of pump.

Check sealing rings, install new sealing rings if necessary.

Clean sealing surface.

Install in the reverse order

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.
