Remove/install

Switch off ignition, remove transmitter key if necessary and place transmitter key down outside of KEYLESS-GO transmission range

Lift vehicle on vehicle lift

Remove left or right front wheel and tire assembly

Remove fender liners in left or right front fender

Only the rear fender liner.

Disconnect electrical connector (1)

Detach right front brake wear sensor electrical connector (S10/2x1) from brake caliper

Only at the right front brake caliper.

Installation: Replace screw/bolt.

Disconnect electrical connector (2)

Unhook electrical line from bracket (3)

Remove bolt (4)

Installation: Replace screw/bolt.

Self-locking bolt, rpm sensor on front axle to steering knuckle

Pull out front axle rpm sensor (L6/1) or (L6/2) and remove together with electrical line from vehicle

Install in the reverse order

Check

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS, read out fault memory and erase if necessary

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
