3 | Remove wheel | ||
4 | Unscrew bolt of ABS sensor (B79, 80, 81, 82) | | |

5 | Pull ABS sensor (B79, 80, 81, 82) out of the guide hole | Installation: Grease guide hole of ABS sensor (B79, 80, 81, 82) slightly. | |
Silicone grease | |||
6 | Cut through cable of the ABS sensor to be replaced (B79, 80, 81, 82) at an easily accessible point | Installation: Replace cable tie. | |
7 | Cut through the cable of the new ABS sensor (B79, 80, 81, 82) approx. 40 mm longer than in the case of the ABS-sensor which has been removed (B79, 80, 81, 82) and insert the heat-shrinkable tube (3) | ||
8 | Shorten the cable sheathing to approx. 40 mm at the ends to be connected | ||
9 | Shorten wire ends approx. 20 mm and strip conductor approx. 6 mm | ||
10 | Insert wire ends of the same color in the heat-shrinkable tube (2) and crimp together using a crimper | Crimping pliers | |
11 | Push the heat-shrinkable tube (3) over the repair point and using a hot air blower from the inside outwards until the heat-shrinkable tube abuts the cable and adhesive (arrow) escapes at both ends | The optimum heat-shrinkage temperature is at 250 °C ...300 °C. | |
12 | Install in the reverse order | ||
