Remove/install

Switch vehicle to service mode.

With code CL0 (air suspension)

Release handbrake lever (1)

Secure vehicle against rolling away

Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between pillars of lifting platform and position four support plates at lift mounting points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

Release front brake cable (3) with the adjustment screw (2)

Remove covers on hand brake lever (1)

Fastenings may brake.

Detach clamp and pin (4), guide front brake cable (3) out of the bracket

Using the special tool unclip the vinyl ring (5) out of the cable guide in the direction of the arrow.

Replace damaged vinyl ring (5).

Guide front brake cable (3) out at the opening in the underfloor

Installation: Insert grommet (6) of the front brake cable (3) correctly in underfloor.

Unscrew heat dissipation plate on underfloor

Danger!

Risk of explosion caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel and risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel

No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Unscrew clamp (8) from fuel tank (3) on right (exhaust side)

Using a suitable telescopic lifter lower and support fuel tank until the front brake cable (3) can be gripped.

Unhook return spring (9)

Loosen bolt (10)

Unscrew bolt (12) on clamp bracket (11)

Unscrew released bolt (10) and remove front brake cable (3) from the guide of clamp bracket (11)

Using the special tool, unclip the plastic ring from the cable guide.

Replace damaged plastic ring.

Remove front brake cable (3)

Install in the reverse order

Adjust parking brake
