 Caution

Risk of poisoning from swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury from skin and eye contact with brake fluid

Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

Switch off ignition

Reduce pressure in pressure reservoir

 Fully depress brake pedal 30 times as far as the stop.

Remove mechanical brake light switch (S9/1)

Remove cover (3)

Pull out retainer (6) and pin (5)

Remove wiper system

Suction off brake fluid from reservoir (10)

Remove bracket (15)

Detach connection (11)

Detach hoses (9) and line (8) from reservoir (10)

 Collect brake fluid which runs out in a suitable container.

Remove screw/bolt (12)

Pull reservoir (10) out of brake booster hydraulic unit (A7/6)

Detach brake lines (14)

 Brake line to hydraulic unit for brake booster

Detach cable (8) from charging piston unit (7)

 Brake line to charging piston unit

Release brake line (13)

 Brake line to hydraulic unit for brake booster

Remove bolts (2)

 Bolt, brake booster hydraulic unit to firewall

Detach brake line (13)

 Push the brake booster hydraulic unit (A7/6) toward the driver side.

Lift out brake booster hydraulic unit (A7/6)

 Installation: Install new seal (1).

Install in the reverse order
