Bleed the feed line and return line of the ASR unit using the handheld tester (HHT)
This operation must only be carried out if the reservoir has run empty or work has been carried out on the master brake cylinder, on the precharging pump, on the hydraulic unit and on the connecting lines.
4 Connect handheld tester (087) with test cable (Multiplexer) (094) to the diagnostic data link connector (X11/4).
5 Start bleeding routine (observe instructions in the display).
At the end of the bleeding process the brake fluid must flow through the return line (10b) into the reservoir without any foam and free of bubbles.
Repeat the bleeding process after a 2 min waiting time in the event of bubbles or foam. If necessary, check and retighten hydraulic connections.
6 Read out and erase fault memory.
7 Switch off ignition.
The system is only operational again after this process.
