Remove/install ball joint on brake cylinder or combination brake cylinder

	Check
1	Secure vehicle to prevent it moving away.	Only if the ball joint (3) on the rear axle is removed.
2	Release parking brake.	Only if the ball joint (3) on the rear axle is removed.
3	Check ball joint (3) for wear.	If problems occur,
		
		replace ball joint (3) when installing.
	Remove
4	Remove nut (1).	 Counterhold centering cone on ball joint (3) so that the boot does not turn as well. Otherwise the boot may be damaged.
5	Counterhold ball joint (3) and release counternut (2).
6	Detach ball joint (3) from brake lever.
7	Detach ball joint (3) from threaded rod.
	Install
8	Attach ball joint (3) on threaded rod until adjustment dimension (A) is reached.	Dimension between the center point of the ball joint and the contact surface of brake cylinder or combination brake cylinder	*BE42.60-N-1001-01C
9	Position counternut (2) on ball joint (3).
10	Attach ball joint (3) to brake lever.
11	Counterhold centering cone on ball joint (3) and attach new nut (1).	 Counterhold centering cone on ball joint (3) so that the boot does not turn as well. Otherwise the boot may be damaged.
		 Nut, ball joint to brake lever	*BA42.10-N-1002-08F
12	Counterhold ball joint (3) and tighten counternut (2).	 Counternut to ball joint	*BA42.10-N-1007-08F
