Check the cylinder for outside damages

Connect the membrane cylinder onto the test bench through cylinder connection 1

Close regulators C and V

Through valve D apply 10 bar to the workbench supply circuit and check pressure on manometer 1

Fully actuate valve FN1 and confirm the pressure on manometer 1

Actuate the cylinder multiple times for a good seating of the mechanical components of the cylinder

Apply 8 bar pressure to port 1 through valve FN1 and confirm reading on manometer 1

Apply neutral soap foam around the belt and the rod and check for leaks
In case of leaks, dismantle the cylinder and replace damaged components.

Fully actuate valve FN1 (8 bar on manometer 1) and check the rod travel

Remove the membrane cylinder from the test bench

De-pressurize the cylinder through valve FN1 and remove the quick connect fitting from the connection
14
Protect the cylinder fitting with a suitable plastic plug
As to the vent hole, it can be protected with a piece of adhesive tape.
