Place the vehicle on a level surface

 Support the vehicle on trestles conveniently arranged under the chassis, on both sides, so as to enable removing the wheels and work on the brakes in a safe manner.

 Caution

Risk of poisoning from swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury from skin and eye contact with brake fluid

Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

Remove the brake drum

Release the air bleeder

Release the brake pipe from the wheels brake cylinder (1) and cover it

 Collect the brake fluid into a suitable container and dispose of it according to the environmental protection standards.
The used brake fluid can not be reused.

Remove the cylinder attachment (2) and the wheel brake cylinder bolts (1)

 Installation: Replace the bolts and tighten them with the specified moment of tightening.

Check

Check the wheels' brake components for damages and wearing. If necessary, remove the brake shoes and perform the required repairs.
