Drive the vehicle to the measurement site

 80 to 90% of the payload (uniform loading).

 The vehicle should be measured on a horizontal, even and clean floor (if necessary, check with a hose level). A measurement site equipped with a workshop ditch is very beneficial.

Provide the vehicle load to be determined

 In vehicles with full air suspension, the load has only a small influence on the vehicle sizing.

 80 to 90 percent of the payload (uniform loading).

Note the manufacturer of the tires, and the profile number and type

 For example: 295/60 R 22.5.

Check the tires pressure. If necessary, adjust the tire air pressure, including the spare wheel



Check the condition of the tires

 The tire conditions may already provide an indication regarding an incorrect adjustment of the steering geometry and the wheel guides.

Check the rims for damage

Check the mechanical steering conditions

Check spring leafs/air bellows of the suspension for damage

Check the wheel bearing clearance

 Lift the vehicle by the front part and check the wheel bearing clearance using a gap iron.

Check the height knocking of the tires
