Remove/Install

Danger!

Risk of death cased by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove balance weights (43a) with retaining clamp

Remove adhesive weights (43b, 43c)

 Do not use a hard, pointed or sharp-edged tool, in order to avoid damaging the surface of the disk wheels.



Cleaning

4.1

Clean wheels if necessary.

 Because an extremely dirty tire or disk wheel will falsify measurements while balancing it is essential that it is cleaned before balancing starts!
Remove glue residue from adhesive weights using a glue and sealant remover only.
Do not use a hard, pointed or sharp-edged tool, in order to avoid damaging the surface of the disk wheels.

Fasten wheels to stationary balancing machine and balance them

 Use recommended balancing machine and follow the manufacturer's operating instructions.

 Use adhesive weights where installation space is at a premium. The residual imbalance on each side of the wheel may not exceed 10 grams.

Close vehicle doors, hood and trunk lid

Raise vehicle with lifting platform wheel-free

Do not insert your hand into rotating parts.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Secure area of rotating vehicle components against unauthorized access.

Balance wheels with dynamic balancing machine on vehicle

 Drive rear wheels using vehicle engine only, as otherwise the rear axle center assembly will be damaged.

 Use recommended balancing machine and follow the manufacturer's operating instructions.

Only previously stationary balanced wheels may be dynamically balanced.
