Remove each respective rear axle shaft (37)

 While working on the rear axle care must be taken to ensure that the surface of aluminum components do not get any scratches, cracks and notches. Otherwise the service life of the of the parts will be reduced.

Use a suitable tool to lever radial sealing ring (32) out of rear axle differential (50)

 To ensure that the radial sealing ring (32) does not leak and fits correctly, take care not to damage the seat surface of the radial sealing ring in the rear axle differential (50).



Install

Press new radial sealing ring (32) into rear axle differential (50) using drift (049b)

Coat lip at radial sealing ring (32) with universal hypoid gear oil.



Universal hypoid gear oil (SAE 85 W-90)

 Press the radial sealing ring (32) evenly into the rear axle differential (50).

 Make sure that the radial sealing ring (32) is seated correctly.

Install new circlip (37o) on inner splined shaft of rear axle shaft (37)

Install rear axle shaft (37).

 While working on the rear axle care must be taken to ensure that the surface of aluminum components do not get any scratches, cracks and notches. Otherwise the service life of the of the parts will be reduced.

Check oil level in rear axle differential (50) and correct if necessary

 In the interest of better fuel economy, avoid mixing old universal hypoid gear oil with new FE hypoid gear oil.
