Remove/install driven gear of portal axle final drive

T35.10-0027-01

Remove/install

1 Remove bolts of brake carrier (2) on portal housing .

Installation: Replace bolts and, if fitted, shims. Cover bolts with adhesive.
Crank output gear of portal axle drive (3) several times in both directions and release the load on the bearing by gentle blows with a plastic hammer on the brake carrier (2).

2 Detach brake carrier (2) from portal housing.

3 Remove output gear of portal axle drive (3) from portal housing.

4 Install in the reverse order.
