Pressing propeller shaft flange onto drive pinion

T35.30-0046-01

1 Place bolts in propeller shaft flange.

2 Press guard plate (4) onto the propeller shaft flange up to the stop.

3 Place propeller shaft flange, washer and slotted nut on drive pinion gear shaft.

4 Fit retainer wrench (1) to propeller shaft flange.

5 Fit ratio wrench (2) with slotted nut bit (3) on slotted nut of propeller shaft flange.

6 Tighten slotted nut to specified tightening torque .

7 Remove retainer wrench (1) from propeller shaft flange.

8 Secure slotted nut with locking plate.
