Removing, installing

Remove both rear axle shafts

Detach propeller shaft from rear axle

Detach crown wheel and pinion (1) from axle housing (2)

Installing:

- Clean sealing surfaces on axle housing (2) and crown wheel and pinion (1) and coat with sealing compound.

- Replace bolts.

- Observe tightening sequence:

First tighten two opposite bolts and then tighten remaining bolts in clockwise or counterclockwise direction starting at one of two bolts tightened first.
