Slacken the jam-nut (3) and remove the bolt (2) with the sliding pad (4) from the differential carrier housing (1).
Install

Install the bolt (2) with the sliding pad (4) and the jam-nut (3) in the differential carrier housing (1).
If necessary, install a new sliding pad (4).

Tighten the bolt (2) until the sliding pad touches on the ring gear surface.

Unscrew the screw 1/3 turn (120°).
This will provide the specified clearance between slider (4) and the crown gear.

Tighten the jam nut (3) to block the bolt.
Hold the screw (2) with a wrench to not alter its adjustment position.
