Remove rear wheels

Remove rear axle shaft

Measure wheel bearing play at the rear wheel hub (2)

Release inner slotted nut (1) and outer slotted nut (4)

Unscrew outer slotted nut (4)



Remove locking plate (5)

Undo inner slotted nut (1)

 Release the tension in the tapered roller bearing by striking lightly with a plastic mallet or rubber hammer.



Tighten inner slotted nut (1)

 When doing so, turn the rear wheel hub (2) continuously and strike the rear wheel hub (2) a few times with a plastic mallet or rubber hammer in a crosswise pattern.

Loosen inner slotted nut (1) by specified tightening angle

 The wheel bearing play should now be approx. 0.2 mm.

Insert a new locking plate (5)

Tighten outer slotted nut (4)



Release tension in tapered roller bearing in rear wheel hub (2) by striking lightly with a plastic mallet or rubber hammer

Measure wheel bearing play at the rear wheel hub (2)

Secure inner slotted nut (1) and outer slotted nut (4) using locking plate (5)

Install rear axle shaft
