4 Inner tapered roller bearing

5 Thrust ring

Disassemble/assemble

Remove rear wheel hub

Remove inner tapered roller bearing (4) from rear wheel hub (2)

Drive out the inner outer race (3)

Drive out using a suitable drift.

Drive out outer race (1)

Drive out using a suitable drift.

Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.

Check thrust ring (5) for running in scores, remove if necessary

Spot drill the thrust ring (5), split using a chisel and then remove.

Installation: Heat up the thrust ring (5) to approx. 80 °C and push on as far as the end stop.

Assemble in the reverse order
