Removing

Remove wheels

Lock rear wheel brake by means of parking brake

Unscrew brake disk (4) from rear wheel hub (3)

Remove rear axle shaft

Release slotted nut (1) and screw off



Remove thrust washer (2).

Screw special tool onto rear wheel hub and remove rear wheel hub (3)



Take off seal (5)

As of axle number: 741.980 ## 004970

Unscrew special tool from rear wheel hub (3)



Install

10.1

Push on sealing ring (5) up to the stop on the axle tube

As of axle number: 741.980 ## 004970

 The sealing ring serves as an additional protection against leaks and can also be installed on axles up to the above axle number.

Screw special tool onto rear wheel hub and push rear wheel hub (3) onto the axle tube



Screw brake disk (4) onto rear wheel hub (3)



 Replace bolts (6).

Unscrew special tool from rear wheel hub (3)

Insert thrust plate (2)

Tighten slotted nut (1) and secure



 Replace slotted nut (1).

 Before tightening the slotted nut, release parking brake.


