Remove/install
1 Detach trailing arm (1) from the bracket of the trailing arm (2) .
Identify installation position of any shims present if necessary.
Installation: Observe installation position of shims. Replace self-locking bolts.
2 Detach trailing arm (1) from substructure .
3 Unscrew mounting screw of thread lock and remove mounting screws complete with thread lock.
Only carry out if the mounting screw on the substructure is accessible.
Identify installation position of any shims present if necessary.
Installation: Observe installation position of shims. Replace self-locking bolts.
4 Remove trailing arm (1).
Lower rear axle if necessary in order to remove the trailing arm (1).
Identify installation position of any shims present if necessary.
Installation: Observe installation position of shims.
5 Install in the reverse order.
