Removing
1 Knock the elastic pin (2) into the bearing (3).
When the intermediate propeller shaft (1) is taken out, the elastic pin (2) falls outside the bearing.
2 With the aid of the puller knock out the intermediate propeller shaft (1), pick up the elastic pin (2).
Catch any oil escaping from transmission in a suitable container.
Install
3 Insert the intermediate propeller shaft (1) into the transmission and bearing (3) and continue inserting it with the aid of the puller until the safety ring of the intermediate propeller shaft (1) fits into the transmission.
4 Knock the elastic pin (2) into the bearing (3).
Only drive in elastic pin (2) as far as shoulder in hole.
