Depending on the motorization, front axle shafts with different joint sizes are fitted.
Outside diameter (X): 76.5 mm (small joint)
86.5 mm (large joint)
Before ordering a repair kit, the size of the ball joints has to be determined. To do so, measure outside diameter (X) on inside joint (1d, 2d) (arrow).
The size of the inside joint (1d, 2d) and outer constant velocity joint (1c, 2c) is identical.
When replacing a front axle shaft (1, 2) the replacement part delivered is the one with the large joints only.
A mixed installation, e.g. on the left the large joint and on the right, the small joint is permissible.
The measurement must take place at the front axle shaft (1, 2), on which the repair kit is to be installed.
