Remove front wheel

Jack up the vehicle at the front axle and secure with stands.

Remove ABS sensor (10) with plug bushing (11)

Only on vehicles with ABS code BB0

Unscrew hexagon nut (5) from tie rod (7) and remove cover panel (6)

Installation: Replace hexagon nut (5).

Pry tie rod (7) off steering knuckle (1)

Raise transverse control arm (4) about 10 mm and support using jack

In order to remove the tensile load from the shock-absorber strut and not to damage the universal joint cage of the input shaft.

Detach transverse control arm (4) and cover panel (3) from steering knuckle (1)

Installation: Replace hexagon nut (2).

Unscrew shock-absorber strut (9) from steering knuckle (1)
