Detach torsion bar link rod (28a) from transverse control arm

Unscrew nut from supporting joint

Screw thrust piece (044a) onto the ball stud of the supporting joint

Press supporting joint out of steering knuckle using puller (044)

Clean conical joint

Detach damper (11) from transverse control arm

Detach lower control arm from frame floor assembly

Installation: Tighten new nuts until they abut lightly

Tighten the nuts only when the vehicle is standing on its wheels in ready-for-operation condition.

Installation: Install repair bolts. If repair bolts have already been installed, observe installation position and install bolts in the same position again.

Unscrew nut of supporting joint to transverse control arm

Screw thrust piece (044a) onto the ball stud of the supporting joint

Using puller (044), press supporting joint out of the lower control arm

Clean conical joint

Checking

Check hydro-mount for condition and leaktightness

In the event of complaints, replace transverse control arm mount completely

Check transverse control arm for bending and corrosion

In the event of complaints, replace transverse control arm

Install in the reverse order

Perform a wheel alignment check

After installing new parts
